In addition to the enhanced lumen output, the TLR-1 HL, TLR-2 HL and TLR-2 HL G now offer 20,000 lumens and 283 meter range, while the TLR-1 HPL offers 60,000 lumens and range. a total of 490 meters. Each light works continuously for 1.5 hours. The TLR-2 HL is also equipped with an integrated 640-660 nanometer red laser aim for long-range targets, while the TLR-2 HL G has a 510-530 nanometer green laser aimed at improving focus accuracy, especially in daylight.
The updated lights feature the latest LED technology, including high-intensity and shock-free bulbs. All four types have psychic abilities, providing the added benefit of pinpointing locations or obscuring targets.

Extended TLR models can be quickly and securely attached to most firearms without requiring users to place their hands in front of the muzzle. They are rifled on both standard MIL-STD-1913 (Pikatinny) rails and Glock-style rails, and seem very accurate to shoot. A wrench set with six interchangeable buttons is included to securely fit any light to the widest rail.
As with all Streamlight TLR pistol lights, it includes a variety of mounting plates for mounting on a variety of handguns, including the older TLR-1 and TLR-2, Gen 3 Glock 17.
All models are manufactured from 6000 series machined aluminum with an extensively tested durable construction. Each uses a 3-volt, CR123A lithium battery.
The TLR-1 HL weighs 4.32 ounces with batteries, the TLR-2 HL and TLR-2 HL G both weigh 4.88 ounces with batteries; All three lights are 3.39 inches tall. The TLR-1 HPL weighs 5.6 to 5.9 ounces and measures 4.83 to 5.25 inches with batteries using a standard switch or remote.

The TLR-1 HL and TLR-1 HPL offer an IPX7 rated design for waterproof operation up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, while the TLR-2 HL and TLR-2 HL G offer an IPX4 rated design for water resistant operation.
